Bachelors in Social Work at Elms College

I began my degree at Holyoke Community College and was looking to complete my bachelor’s at an accredited 4-year school. As a father of two who works full time during the day, it was challenging to find a program that would work for me.

When I investigated Elms College to complete my Social Work degree, I was informed about their partnership with Springfield Technical Community College and the BSW program.

Their program had a class schedule that allowed me to attend classes in-person and still work full time. This was the only program in the area to offer this type of flexibility. Before enrollment, the staff at Elms were very helpful in assisting with my transfer credits making the whole process seamless.

I could not be happier with my experience at Elms. The small class sizes and personal approach with the students has made in-person learning a great experience. While many schools offer online degree programs, I find that they do not compare to the quality of education received in person at Elms College. The faculty and staff are truly committed to the success of their students. Whether you need assistance with research, scholarly writing, internships, financial aid, or scholarship opportunities, there is always someone available who is happy to help.

I would encourage anyone who is considering continuing their education to see what Elms College has to offer, it was one of the best decisions I have made.
