Secondary Education and English major

I decided to go to Elms because of its close community to home and for the academics. From the first time I stepped on campus, I knew Elms would push me past my limits academically. The Education and English programs do a great job of inspiring my creativity, and pushing me to be unique in my teaching and writing styles so that I may connect with others. The faculty challenges you to do your best. I feel supported and heard at Elms.

At Elms, there is an academic culture that makes you excited about learning. My teachers are friendly and have great communication skills that make the classes more engaging. The faculty and staff always make sure I have the academic support I need, and the coaches motivate me to work hard and step out of my comfort zone. I am getting everything out of my degree program that I want.  After I graduate, I plan to seek my master’s in Education and then hope to teach at a prep school and coach basketball one day.

The Elms community has a sense of comradery that you may not find at other, larger colleges. The campus is so small that you know everyone else around campus and this makes for a fun college experience. I have met some of my closest friends here at Elms.

Elms is a fantastic college. It has absolutely lived up to my expectations.
